Integrative medicine in the treatment of autoimmune and inflammatory diseases
Bridging Western Science with Eastern Wisdom
When I was a young, ambitious medical student, fully dedicated to my work, I never expected that I would become the patient.
I was already doing night shifts, pushing myself hard, driven and determined.
Then one day, my nervous system began to show symptoms of Multiple Sclerosis. The first sign struck: I had retrobulbar neuritis.
The prognosis was not good, but I was determined to do something for myself. From that moment, a slow but deep shift began—moving from purely Western medicine toward complementary medicine. Step by step, I began studying Chinese Medicine and Qigong. It took about ten years of learning and practice. But the result?
For the last twenty years, I can truly say I have been completely symptom-free.
That is why I decided to share my knowledge. Western medicine remains an important support and may be necessary for a period of time. But the strength lies in combining both approaches.
Qigong is a tool you can use yourself to become stronger, healthier, and more balanced—until, eventually, you may gradually step away from medication.
I wrote a book to guide you, and am starting a website and videos to share stories and advice. From a doctor, and a fellow patient. Follow along, and let's go on this journey together.
